Produced circa 1870. The internal decoration and overall ‘look’ of this item suggests it was probably intended for use as a mantel ornament. Made from green bottle glass it contains nine ‘flowers’ each with a central bubble which has been drawn down to represent the stem, rising from a basket. Condition is particularly good having only minor surface scratches and no bruises with a few minor stray bubbles introduced during manufacture. The base has a snapped off pontil scar and shows wear related scuff marks.
