‘Boots’ Silver Cased Perfume Bottle

An Edwardian silver cased perfume bottle made for ‘BOOTS Pure Drug Company’ the maker unknown but bearing the stamps W and H. other hallmarks include anchor (Birmingham) and date letter ‘d’ 1903. The case carries a depiction of a cupid face amongst cloud within a floral and ribbon garland in raised relief on the front and a monogram ‘E’ on the reverse. The inside contains the original glass scent bottle bearing the original ‘Old English Lavender Water’ label. Main body is a globular shape hinged to the RH side with a high neck to a horizontal hinged lid with a ‘snap’ clasp. The lid is domed rising from two steps.
