19th Century glass ‘dump’ mantle ornament produced circa 1870. Identified as a ‘Mantle Ornament’ from the general upright shape and flattened base and made from green bottle glass it contains three flowers each with a central bubble, rising from a basket. Condition is particularly good having only minor surface scratches and no bruises with various size internal bubbles and some manufacturing frit. The base is without a pontil scar having been pressed on a hot plate but does show some wear relative to its age.
