An onion shaped clear glass scent bottle with elongated flared neck with a bollard shaped stopper, also of clear glass. The body has been encased in an open horizontal lattice of 12 bands with stylised pansies below a solid band of silver overlay which continues over the top of the bottle. The stopper is similarly decorated with four horizontal bands carrying stylised pansy buds and florets. The silver is unmarked but is believed to be of sterling quality. The stopper is a good fit but there is some minor damage within the bottle neck. The bottle glass is slightly discoloured with small manufacturing bubble inclusions and the base shows scuffing consistent with its age and a ground and polished pontil scar. The maker and date of manufacture is unknown but is possibly American ‘Art Nouveau’ circa 1890-1910.

Overall height with stopper: 5 3/8th inches (13.6 cm), without 3 ¾ inches (9.5 cm) Diameter: 3 ½ inches (8.9 cm) at widest point.
