Royal Doulton model of the champion English Setter ‘Maesydd Mustard’ designed by Frederick Daws. Off-white coat with black and coffee highlights, shape number 770A reference HN1050. Similar setters exist in different sizes as reference HN1049 and HN1051 together with varieties known as ‘ Gordon Setter and Irish Setter (Pat O’Moy). Released in 1931 and retired in 1985 the model number and artists’ monogram is hand painted under the rear right paw and carries the Royal Doulton transfer printed crest on the rear left paw.
